A wave of attacks by suspected bandits swept through several communities in Kwara State on Thursday night, leaving one person dead and multiple residents kidnapped in what locals described as a coordinated operation.
The bandits reportedly struck Gaa-Alla and Gaa-Oke Abba communities in Isin Local Government Area, as well as Famole Community in neighbouring Ifelodun Local Government Area, at about 10 p.m.
While authorities confirmed some of the abductions, residents said the number of victims could be significantly higher as efforts continued to determine the full scale of the attacks.
