Dominic Solanke rescued a 1-1 draw for 10-man Tottenham to ramp up the pressure on Manchester United boss Michael Carrick on Saturday.
Solanke’s stoppage time header edged Spurs off the foot of the Premier League table after it seemed like they would pay a heavy price for not taking their chances in a dominant display at Old Trafford.
Bryan Mbeumo put United in front against the run of play 17 minutes from time before Rodrigo Bentancur was shown a straight red card.
But not for the first time this season, Carrick’s men failed to make a man advantage count.
Manchester City won 1-0 at Old Trafford last month despite playing for more than an hour with 10 men.
