2026 World Cup: Ivory Coast fans denied US visas

Several supporters of the Ivory Coast national football team have been unable to secure visas to travel to the United States for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, raising concerns among fan groups ahead of the tournament.
The development was disclosed by the president of an Ivorian supporters’ association, who said a number of fans had their visa applications rejected despite plans to travel and support the Elephants at the global football showpiece.
According to him, the visa denials have left many supporters disappointed, as they had hoped to be part of the historic tournament being jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
