2027: 10 Reasons Why INEC’s Voting Data Matter

The latest voter statistics released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have offered political parties, candidates and election observers a clearer picture of the electorate that will determine the outcome of the 2027 general elections.
 
INEC’s National Register of Voters now stands at 103,428,715 , following the completion of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, claims and objections and biometric verification.
 
Lagos has the highest number of registered voters with 7,488,633 , followed by Kano with 6,570,276 and Kaduna with 4,662,640 .
