2027 AFCON Qualifier: Nigeria 1-1 Madagascar At Half-Time

Nigeria and Madagascar went into the break level at 1-1 in their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
The visitors took a shock lead in the 16th minute through C. Couturier, putting the Super Eagles under early pressure.
Nigeria responded strongly and eventually found the equaliser deep into first-half stoppage time, with G. Ilenikhena scoring in the 46th minute.
Madagascar’s G. Dupire was booked in the 34th minute as both sides continued to battle for control.
The Super Eagles will need to improve after the interval as they seek to turn the match around and begin their Group L campaign with a victory.
