2027: Atiku has no plans to restore fuel subsidy – Presidency

President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, on Thursday said the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has no plans of restoring fuel subsidy if elected President in 2027.
Recall that Tinubu had ended the fuel subsidy regime during his presidential inauguration in Abuja in 2023.
The president had said the removal of fuel subsidy would stop the cabals benefitting from the scheme, while the funds accrued would be put to better use.
Since the commencement of the 2027 election campaign, the ADC presidential candidate has being reeling out how he intends to restore the subsidy on fuel.
