2027: Court orders APC to submit Okorocha’s name for Imo West

The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the All Progressives Congress (APC) to submit the name of former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha as its candidate for the Imo West Senatorial District election scheduled for January 16, 2027.
Justice Obiora Egwuatu gave the order on Thursday after ruling that Governor Hope Uzodinma did not win the APC senatorial primary held on May 18 and monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In his judgment, the judge held that the evidence presented before the court showed that Okorocha secured the majority of votes cast during the primary.
