2027: DLA Disowns Tinubu’s Endorsement By Governorship Candidates

The Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) has disowned the purported endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for re-election in 2027 by a forum of its governorship candidates, insisting that the party has not endorsed any candidate of another political party.
The party’s position followed reports that a forum of DLA governorship candidates, led by its Taraba State governorship candidate, Hon. Aboki Stephen Bayonga, had endorsed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the DLA, Judith Aguenu, said the reported endorsement did not represent the party’s official position.
