2027 elections: Information Minister, British High Commissioner move to tackle misinformation, disinformation

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, and the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Pete Vowles, met in Abuja to discuss the forthcoming 2027 general elections, with regard to media collaboration to tackle misinformation and disinformation.
The minister reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships to address misinformation, disinformation and the emerging challenges in the information landscape ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
