2027: INEC Introduces QR Codes To Help Lagos Voters Locate Verification Centres

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has introduced a Quick Response (QR) code initiative to help registered voters in Lagos State locate designated centres for verifying their details in the Register of Voters ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Lagos State, Prof. Ayobami Salami, disclosed this on Tuesday during a press briefing on the commission’s preparations for the elections.
Salami said the display of the register, which began on October 9, was taking place across the state’s 245 Registration Areas and wards in line with Section 19(1) of the Electoral Act 2026.
