2027: Lagos APC, ADC, NDC, others trade confidence as guber race gathers momentum

With the 2027 general election gradually gathering momentum, the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State has moved into a new phase of its preparations, formally activating its campaign machinery and charging members to begin the mobilisation that will precede the election.
The Lagos APC recently inaugurated its campaign council, with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as chairman and the Deputy Governor and governorship candidate, Obafemi Hamzat as deputy chairman.
Former Senator Musiliu Obanikoro was named director-general, while the structure also brings together several prominent figures, including former governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode.
