2027: Nigerians must stand up, reclaim power – Utomi

Professor of Political Economy and Convener of the Big Tent and Movement for Credible Election, Pat Utomi, has urged Nigerians to turn out massively for the 2027 elections, saying citizens must reclaim their power and influence the direction of the country through the ballot.
Utomi made the call at a media briefing in Lagos on Wednesday, against the backdrop of growing economic hardship and declining public confidence in key democratic institutions.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed January 16, 2027, for the presidential and National Assembly elections, while the governorship and state assembly polls will hold on February 6.
