2027: Otti reveals reason for backing Tinubu’s re-election

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has explained his decision to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, saying his position is influenced by his responsibilities as a governor and member of the National Economic Council (NEC).
Otti spoke during an interview with ARISE News, where he was asked to clarify his support for Tinubu despite being a governor elected on the platform of the Labour Party.
The governor said his relationship with Tinubu should be viewed separately from the Labour Party’s decision to field its own presidential candidate for the 2027 election.
