2027: Should inec’s admission it’s officers illegally introduced fake ai-generated materials to voters’ register allay Nigerians’ fears?

There is no doubt detection of some AI-generated pictures and other materials in Nigeria’s voters’ register brought back memories of 2023’s controversial glitch and confirmed the people’s fear that INEC may be compromised to rig 2027 elections.
Recalling the bitter experience the 2023 glitch, Nigerians are worried that all may not be well with 2027 elections and that the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission may not have truly improved since 2023.
Reacting to the people’s fears, however, INEC on Friday said Nigerians have nothing to worry about the integrity of the Voters’ Register to be used in conducting the 2027 elections.
