26MW Independent Power Plant In Lagos Receives Revival Attention

The 26 Megawatts Akute Power Plant in Lagos is receiving attention, which is expected to improve electricity supply in the State.
Fenchurch Group announced plans to rebuild the power station and provide dedicated electricity to major Lagos waterworks, with the first 10MW expected within four months.
The project, being developed by Fenchurch Power Limited through Aggregate Utilities Limited, the group’s special purpose vehicle, is being delivered under a concession agreement with the Lagos State government.
The remaining 16MW is expected to be delivered within 12 months, while surplus power will be exported to the Ikeja Electric Network.
