3 Die, 5 Rescued As Fire Razes Bus, Trailer In Oyo

Three people have reportedly died, five others have been rescued with minor injuries, and property worth millions of naira destroyed after a fire engulfed a J5 bus loaded with bakery machines and a stationary DAF trailer carrying synthetic materials in front of the Afijio Local Government Area headquarters in Jobele, Oyo State.

The Special Adviser on Fire Reform and Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Services Agency, Dr. Moroof Akinwande, disclosed this on Sunday, saying the agency received a distress call about the incident at exactly 00:20 hours.
He said the call was received through the agency’s control room, following reports of vehicles on fire at the location.
