At least three people were injured after two passenger trains collided in Poland on Thursday evening, causing carriages to derail and disrupting rail services on a major route.
The accident occurred at about 6 p.m. local time near a railway station when an Intercity passenger train and a local Polregio service crashed into each other.
Authorities said a carriage derailed on impact, prompting a large-scale emergency response. Approximately 200 passengers were travelling on both trains at the time of the collision.
Speaking to local media, police officer Martin Halasz confirmed that three people sustained injuries in the crash.
