5,990 FCTA Education Officers Sit For Promotion Exams

Nearly 6,000 education officers of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) are taking part in the 2026 promotion examinations following the intervention of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, to allow previously excluded staff to participate.
The exercise, which began on October 5, entered its sixth day on Monday, with about 5,990 education officers across Grade Levels 13 to 17 participating in the assessments.
The affected officers include education officers, senior education officers and assistant education officers seeking advancement to higher grades.
