Abia Govt hospital performs first successful brain surgery on 19-year-old accident victim

Abia State Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Umuahia, has recorded its first successful brain surgery. The emergency brain surgery was performed on a 19-year-old male accident victim.
The Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu who disclosed this Tuesday while briefing journalists at Government House, Umuahia, said the major milestone recorded was as a result of heavy investment in specialised healthcare delivery by the Alex Otti administration.
