Abia, National Museum push for unesco’s recognition of Government College, Umuahia, as world heritage centre

For   Governmrnt College, Umuahia, formerly Fisher High School, founded in 1929, by Rev. Robert Fisher of blessed memory, is internationally renowned as the alma mater of literary giants, including Chinua Achebe, Christopher Okigbo, Gabriel Okara, Elechi Amadi and Chukwuemeka Ike, as well as the celebrated artist, Ben Enwonwu.
