Abia To Launch Larvae Source Management In 2 LGAs

Abia State government will commence larvae source management activities before the end of this month with focus on Isuikwuato and Aba South local government areas aimed at checking the spread of malaria in the state.
The state’s commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, stated this while briefing the press on the outcome of this week’s State Executive Council (SEC) meeting chaired by Governor Alex Otti in Umuahia, the capital.
Kanu explained that the novel intervention would be a collaboration between the State Ministry of Health and the National Malaria Elimination Programme.
