ABUJA — The national leadership of the Accord Party has called on the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to immediately redeploy the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, over alleged political violence and killings ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
The party said its demand followed a series of violent incidents targeting its members and supporters, claiming that repeated petitions to security agencies had not yielded any meaningful response.
