Akpabio Hails Nigeria’s Golden Girls, The Flamingos

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has congratulated the Nigerian Under-17 Women’s National Team, the Flamingos, on their historic triumph at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
A statement issued to journalists yesterday in Abuja by the Special Assistant on Media and Communication to the President of the Senate, Anietie Ekong, from the Akpabio Media Office, quoted the Senate President as describing the World Cup-winning team as Nigeria’s “Golden Girls” who had made the nation proud.
