Amnesty demands immediate release of Imran Wakili

Amnesty International Nigeria has called on the Nigerian government to immediately and unconditionally release Imran Usman Wakili, who was allegedly arrested over social media posts claiming there was a low turnout at the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna State. The organisation also said Wakili was targeted because of his strong support for former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who it claimed had been unlawfully detained for more than 260 days.
