Asari Seeks Historic Cultural, Economic Alliance With Ile Ife

The Amanyanabo of Elem-Kalabari, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, has called for an alliance between the Kalabari Kingdom in Rivers State and Ile Ife, Osun State.

Dokubo-Asari, who made the call when he paid a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, at the palace of Oduduwa in Ile Ife, said his dream is to draw Nigeria’s historic traditional institutions closer.

The visit brings together two traditional institutions, whose identities are closely associated with origins, ancestral memory and the continuity of indigenous civilisation.
