The Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS), Kogi State chapter, has urged the Kogi State Government to immediately restore the 27.5 per cent Teachers’ Special Allowance (TSA) and recruit qualified teachers to address the worsening shortage of manpower in public secondary schools across the state.
The union also called on the government to strengthen security around schools following persistent attacks on educational institutions and communities, warning that the development poses a serious threat to teaching and learning.
