BIRNIN KEBBI — Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has pledged to address Nigeria’s security challenges and restore fuel subsidy if elected president in the 2027 general elections.
Atiku, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), made the promises during the flag-off of his campaign in Kebbi State, where he described the forthcoming election as a referendum on the policies of the President Bola Tinubu administration.
He said the election would provide Nigerians with an opportunity to decide whether to retain the current government or embrace an alternative amid concerns over economic hardship and insecurity.
