Super Falcons forward Rinsola Babajide has set her sights on the Olympic Games qualifiers after Nigeria’s disappointing campaign at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where the team failed to secure a spot at the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Babajide, who was part of the squad in Ivory Coast, admitted the pain of missing out on a World Cup ticket but expressed gratitude for representing her country at another continental tournament.
“Heartbroken to say the least. It really hurts to miss out on a World Cup spot but grateful for the opportunity to represent my country at yet another WAFCON,” Babajide wrote on X.
