Back Tinubu Now, Shelve Presidential Ambition Till 2031 – Akume Tells Northerners

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has urged the North to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, warning that any Northerner seeking the presidency in the next election would be acting against the region’s interests.
 
Akume said the North should allow Tinubu to complete his political project before pursuing its own presidential ambition in 2031.
 
The SGF spoke on Saturday while addressing Benue State indigenes residing in Kaduna ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off in the state capital.
