Bauchi LGAs Urged To Prevent Diversion Of Special Food For Malnourished Children

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) officers, nutrition focal persons and logistics officers across the 20 local government areas (LGAs) of Bauchi State have been urged to strengthen accountability and prevent the misappropriation or diversion of nutrition commodities, particularly Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) used in treating children suffering from severe acute malnutrition (SAM).
The call was made during a two-day training organised for the officers on the Nigeria Health Logistics Management Information System (NHLMIS), with a focus on improving data quality, commodity tracking and accountability within the state’s health system.
