Bayelsa 2027: Seriake Dickson battles old allies, new foes

Former Bayelsa governor and serving senator for Bayelsa West, Henry Seriake Dickson, is a central figure in the state’s politics. He first came to prominence in 1999, when he led the Alliance for Democracy to victory in the Bayelsa West senatorial seat and the Sagbama/Ekeremor House of Representatives seat. He has since served as Commissioner for Justice and Attorney -General, as a member of the House of Representatives, and as governor on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
