Enugu has never been short of slogans, those short, catchy expressions with which governments try to compress an entire philosophy of administration into a few memorable words.
There was Ebeano, the political identity that became synonymous with the Chimaroke Nnamani years, along with the refrain, “Enugu is working.” Years later, the administration of Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi repeatedly described the state as being “in the safe hands of God.”
