Calls Grow To Ban Meta AI Glasses Over Privacy Concerns

Privacy advocates and regulators in Germany have intensified calls for a ban on Meta’s AI-powered smart glasses, warning that the devices pose serious risks to consumers by enabling covert recording and fueling digital abuse.
The renewed concerns come after German digital rights organisation HateAid revealed that police in the city of Potsdam had received complaints from young women who alleged they were secretly filmed by male strangers using Meta Glasses at a public swimming pool.
