Manchester United have officially confirmed Michael Carrick as the club’s permanent manager, following an agreement on a two-year contract.
The decision, reportedly in the works for several weeks, has now received final approval from key figures, including minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and senior club executives.
Carrick is expected to sign a deal that will run for an initial two years, with an option for extension or a potential three-year framework depending on team performance.
The former United midfielder, who had been serving as interim manager, earned the full-time role after a strong string of results and growing backing from within the club.
