CBN Senior Tennis: Canice zooms into quarter finals

Men’s Top seed at the on-going 47th edition of the Central Bank of Nigeria Senior Tennis Championship, Abua Canice, on Tuesday qualified for the round of 16 of the championship by defeating hard fighting Sani Musa   seed 11   2-1 ( 6-4, 6-3) while seed 2, Adeleye Daniel beat 6-4,6-1 to also advance.
Another round of 16 qualifier is Sani-Inabo Yahaya   whose opponent, Ahli 6-0, 3 retired.
In the women’s category, top seed   Mohammed Khadijat   continues to justify her number one position in Nigeria women’s tennis   cadre when she defeated Maxwell Timipre by two sets to love, 6-1, 6-1   while tournament   seed   6, Ogunjobi Success sent   wide card entrant, Samuel packing wi...
