The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command, Chukwuemeka Odimba, has urged private guard companies to step up their activities to assist in tackling insecurity in the state.
Odimba stated this when the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria, Abia State chapter, led by its chairman, Ndubuisi Iheanacho, visited him in his office in Umuahia, the capital.
He underlined the need for the companies to redouble their efforts in surveillance, intelligence gathering, and information sharing with conventional security agencies.
