There are conflicting reports on the abduction of a leader of the Odua Peoples Congress OPC, Bayo Fabiyi, which reportedly occurred on Monday in Oke-Irese, in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Earlier reports indicated that he was abducted by bandits alongside two others while on a mission to deliver N30 million ransom and other items demanded for the release of an abducted victim in Oko-Irese community.
However, the earlier reports have been dismissed by the state Police Commissioner, Ojo Adekimi, and the Coordinator of the Kwara South Joint Security Network, Comrade Zubair Olaitan.
