Court bars ex-Reps member Alagbaoso from parading as monarch

A High Court in Orlu, Imo State has issued a restraining order stopping a former member of the House of Representatives, and currently the Federal Commissioner representing Imo State at the Federal Character Commission, Rt Hon Jerry Alagbaoso, from parading himself as the monarch of Ama-na-ogu Autonomous Community of Orsu Local Government Council.
The ruling, delivered by Justice M.C. Ijezie, also ordered the Chairman of Orsu Local Government Area and the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs not to submit Chief Alagbaoso’s name to the State Governor for recognition as the traditional ruler of Ama-na-ogu Autonomous Community.
