Culture, tourism can deepen Africa-UK ties, drive development — Festival founder

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, the Cultural Hangout Festival, Aihawu Victor, has said culture and tourism are powerful tools for education, economic growth and community development, while strengthening ties between African and communities in the United Kingdom.
He made the disclosure in his speech after the Africa Day 2026 Cultural Hangout Festival, held at the Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre, UK.
Victor stated that the festival was designed to showcase Africa’s rich cultural heritage and create opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.
