ADC candidate demands state, 23 LGAs’ financial records ahead of 2027 elections

SOKOTO — The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Sokoto State, Hon. Manir Muhammad Dan’iya, has challenged Governor Ahmed Aliyu to publish his administration’s revenue and expenditure records from May 2023 to September 2026, saying residents deserve a verifiable account of public funds ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dan’iya called for a comprehensive breakdown of receipts from the Federation Account, internally generated revenue (IGR) and other sources, alongside details of how the funds had been spent and the benefits delivered to residents.
