ABUJA — Avocats Sans Frontières France (ASF France), otherwise known as Lawyers Without Borders, has expressed concern over the deaths of 37 alleged miners who were held in government custody at a Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) facility in Minna, Niger State.
In a statement on Monday, the organization called for independent forensic examinations and autopsies, even as it urged the federal government to ensure the protection of all surviving detainees and witnesses.
