Delta police rescue trafficking survivor, arrest suspect

Delta State Police Command has arrested a suspected human trafficker and rescued a 25-year-old woman allegedly deceived into travelling to Côte d’Ivoire.
The suspect, 26-year-old Ese Betty Isiorho, was arrested by the Effurun Area Command following a petition. Police investigations showed she lured the victim with a promise of hairdressing training, but on arrival, the victim was allegedly forced into prostitution.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, said: “During interrogation, Isiorho admitted to trafficking the 25-year-old and another woman in her 20s to Côte d’Ivoire, where they were handed over to a woman identified as Madam Purity for exploitation. Thro...
