Delta seeks patience over N4bn poverty fund disbursement

ASABA — The Delta State Government has appealed to residents to exercise patience over the disbursement of its N4 billion poverty alleviation fund, assuring that 15,000 indigent beneficiaries across the state’s 25 local government areas would be covered.
The General Manager of the Delta State Social Investment Programme (DSSIP), Chief Henry Sakpra, gave the assurance in Asaba, saying necessary arrangements had been concluded to ensure a smooth, transparent and hitch-free disbursement.
“We urge Deltans to be patient as the necessary modalities have been put in place to ensure hitch-free, seamless disbursement,” Sakpra said.
