Dokubo-Asari, Sultan Seek Stronger Ties Between Northern Nigeria, South-South

The Amanyanabo of Elem Kalabari Kingdom in Rivers State, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, and the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, have called for stronger relations between Northern Nigeria and the South-South region to promote national unity and peaceful coexistence.
The duo made the call when Dokubo-Asari visited the Sultan at his palace in Sokoto State.
The Kalabari monarch said the visit was aimed at strengthening existing cordial relations between traditional institutions in the northern and southern parts of the country, stressing the importance of unity for the welfare of Nigerians.
