Edo govt welcomes Davido, disowns alleged ban

The Edo State Government has dismissed reports that popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been banned from entering the state, describing the purported directive as the handiwork of an impostor and fraud.
In a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Prince Kassim Afegbua, the state government said it completely dissociated itself from what it described as spiteful efforts to create hostility between the government and the music star.
