Edo: NSCDC arrests two suspects over abduction, sexual assault of minor

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Edo State Command, has arrested two suspects and rescued a teenage girl who was recently abducted and sexually assaulted in Ewohimi, Esan South-East Local Government Area of the state.
The incident comes amid renewed efforts by security agencies and the Edo State government to strengthen the fight against violent crimes, particularly offences involving women and children.
The incident was reported on June 19, 2026, after Mr Odion Enokhimion lodged a complaint at the NSCDC Ewohimi Division over the disappearance of his sister, who was allegedly taken away by unknown persons a day earlier.
