Ekiti declares Friday work-free ahead of governorship election

Ekiti State Government has declared Friday as a work-free day for public servants and civil servants ahead of the governorship election scheduled for Saturday.
The announcement was made on Thursday in a statement issued by the Head of Service, Dr Folakemi Olomojobi, who said the approval was granted by Governor Biodun Oyebanji to enable workers travel to their respective voting locations in preparation for the election holding on June 20, 2026.
According to the government, the directive is aimed at encouraging full participation in the electoral process across the state.
