Ekiti State government in its 2027 budget has shifted focus towards the economic sector by allocating a whopping sum of N147. 98bn to drive agriculture, infrastructure, rural development, small and medium-scale enterprises, tourism and other productive activities.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji had on Thursday presented the 2027 appropriation bill and budget estimate of N490,740,209,860, 38.00 billion to the State House of Assembly for consideration and passage.
The proposed budget, which is about 18% higher than the N415.57 billion approved for 2026, the Governor said is expected to serve as the financial roadmap for the first year of the governor’s second term.
