England have suffered an injury setback ahead of Tuesday’s Nations League meeting with the Czech Republic, with Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott ruled out after picking up a thigh problem.
The 23-year-old is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks, dealing a significant blow to both England and Bournemouth.
Scott impressed on his full international debut in Saturday’s emphatic 7-0 victory over Croatia, playing 70 minutes in central midfield alongside Elliot Anderson before being substituted.
However, the Bournemouth midfielder had felt some discomfort before kick-off and subsequently underwent a scan which revealed the extent of the injury.
