It’s no longer news that a Federal High Court in Lokoja, Kogi State, on Friday, set aside its earlier judgement directing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to register the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) as a political party.
The decision effectively reopens the legal battle over the NDC’s registration and places its status as a political party in uncertainty pending a fresh hearing even as the 2027 general election was fast approaching.
